Peggy Grubbs and Associates, LLC specialize in conducting estate and moving sales, and working with people as they transition from their larger homes to smaller accommodations. They have worked for over 20 years with attorneys and court appointed conservators, as well as social workers, and families, to dispose of household goods, both appreciable and depreciable, to get the highest return for her clients.
Peggy grew up in St. Paul, MN and moved to the Somerset-New Richmond, WI. area in 1973 with her husband, William. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and has a BS degree in Elementary Education and has done extensive graduate work in Educational Administration with an emphasis on technology.
Over the years, Peggy has taught in local area schools as well as international schools, having lived in both Saudi Arabia and more recently in Islamabad, Pakistan. She has traveled worldwide and has a strong understanding of different cultures, having worked within diplomatic circles, and with students from 55 different countries.
Peggy began in the estate and moving sale business in 1984 upon her return from Saudi Arabia. With no teaching opportunities available, she worked with her mother, Margaret McCarty, a sale specialist, in St. Paul. Peggy began conducting sales in Western Wisconsin in the late 1980’s and has set the standard for professionalism ever since.
Peggy has extensive education and experience in appraising both appreciable and depreciable items. She earned the Certified Appraiser of Personal Property (CAPP) designation from the International Society of Appraisers in 1994 becoming one of the first people in Wisconsin and Minnesota to be so designated.
